At Soter, we’re transforming workplace safety through intelligent systems that support safety professionals in their most critical moments. Our SoterAI platform helps organizations identify risk, manage compliance, and confidently navigate regulatory and operational challenges.
We’re now expanding SoterAI to help organizations lower their workers’ compensation premiums by giving brokers and insurers better, clearer, data-driven evidence about exposure, classifications, and risk controls. To build this, we’re hiring a on a contract basis to guide us in designing the logic, evidence requirements, and reporting standards that align with how real underwriters think and make decisions.

Contract Overview
Contract Type: Part-time, independent contractor
Time Commitment: approx. 5 hours per week
Location: Remote (U.S. preferred)
Rate: $110–$150/hr based on experience
Suitability: Ideal for currently employed underwriters or loss-control professionals seeking meaningful advisory work alongside existing commitments
Scope of Work
Collaborate with product and AI teams to translate workers’ compensation underwriting practice into structured rules, logic, and workflows inside SoterAI
Define how class codes should be mapped to real operational tasks and exposures captured through SoterAI
Advise on the evidence underwriters require to justify:
Review and refine SoterAI’s data models to ensure they align with how carriers evaluate exposure and risk
Design templates and reporting formats that mirror underwriting expectations (e.g., exposure summaries, job breakdowns, control verification, hazard profiles)
Ensure outputs are realistic, regulator-compliant, and persuasive to brokers and insurers
Provide feedback on early prototypes, helping us validate whether the system’s conclusions would be accepted by real underwriters
Support internal documentation and training for how SoterAI’s insurance-reduction tools should be used and presented to insurers or brokers
