Role Summary

Inspect SS piping fabrication and installation ensuring compliance to approved drawings, ITP/QCP, WPS/WPQ, welding quality and cleanliness requirements, testing, and QA documentation for client handover.

Key Responsibilities

Verify incoming materials with MTC/heat traceability and support PMI checks as per ITP.
Inspect fit-up/joint prep and ensure WPS/WPQ compliance; welding by qualified welders only.
Monitor SS welding (GTAW/orbital), back purging and heat tint/oxidation control; prevent carbon steel contamination.
Perform VT and dimensional checks as per isometrics/spec acceptance criteria (incl. flange alignment).
Coordinate/review NDT (PT/RT/UT as applicable) and manage repairs with re-NDT.
Witness pressure testing (hydro/pneumatic as applicable) and verify test packs, gauge calibration, and reinstatement.

Must-Have Skills

Hands-on SS piping inspection experience with GTAW/orbital GTAW and purge practices.
Strong reading of P&IDs/isometrics/spools; disciplined weld map, NDT tracker, and turnover documentation.
Working knowledge of applicable standards/specs (e.g., ASME B31.3, ASME Section IX, ASME Section V or project equivalent).
