The role

As VP of Engineering , you’ll play a pivotal role in leading our global engineering team and helping scale our platform to support our next phase of growth — which includes developing new products, and partner types. You’ll be building on top of a modern, API‑driven platform that already underpins multiple live products and powers partnerships with global names.

You’ll be responsible for building an engineering culture that’s fast, reliable, and relentlessly focused on impact! Setting the bar for engineering excellence, guiding architectural decisions and coaching a strong management layer & senior IC's, leading our Engineering Teams as we continue to redefine what a high‑growth, embedded‑finance organisation can achieve.

Partnering closely with Product, Data Science, Design and Risk Teams, you will lead in evolving the technical architecture of our platform, scale our AI-native underwriting systems, and ensure the team delivers robust, maintainable distributed systems at speed. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll shape our technology strategy, lead high-stakes delivery, and grow a world-class team across the UK and India.

What We Think You'll Need:

• Proven success leading engineering orgs of 50+ in high-growth B2B or fintech environments
• Experience scalling modern, API-first platforms in complex domains (finance, lending, payments, etc.)
• You have strong people leadership skills, with a history of building, coaching, and retaining high-performing Managers, Staff / Lead Engineers, and their teams.
• You have a deep understanding of building distributed systems, data pipelines, and ML / AI-infused platforms
• You bring strong product and business instinct — you think in terms of outcomes, not tickets
• You’re a natural collaborator — equally comfortable working with with execs, engineers, and partners

Bonus points if:

• You have experience with embedded finance, open banking or payments infrastructure
• You have had exposure to underwriting, credit risk, or machine learning systems
• You have experience scaling teams in multiple geographies, especially India
