At GEOOE , we are preparing to launch the International Student Geo-Innovation Challenge 2026 , a global initiative designed to support engineering students—especially those from developing regions—by giving them the opportunity to build real prototypes and collaborate across borders.

We are currently inviting experienced engineers and technical professionals to join this initiative as Volunteer Mentors . This is an opportunity to guide talented students, share engineering experience, and connect with a global community of innovators. It may also be an opportunity to meet potential long-term collaborators who share similar technical interests.

Who We Are Looking For

We welcome professionals with industry experience in areas such as:

• Embedded Systems
• Hardware Engineering
• Software Engineering
• IoT Systems
• Robotics
• Sensor Systems
• Engineering Instrumentation
• Other related technical fields

Mentors who enjoy supporting young engineers, discussing technical ideas, and engaging with international teams are especially encouraged to join.

About the Innovation Challenge

The GEOOE International Student Innovation Challenge 2026 brings together student teams from multiple countries to design and build Minimum Viable Product (MVP) systems under the same technical requirements.

The program aims to provide innovation support for students from developing countries while encouraging international engineering collaboration.

Challenge Timeline

• Now – Registration Open
• Early May 2026

Challenge topic released.

• May 2026 – Preparation Phase

Teams begin research, discussions, and preparation.

• June – August 2026 – Development Phase

Finalist teams build their MVP systems.

During this period:

Participants receive monthly living support

Weekly team progress discussions

Monthly cross-team technical discussions

• End of August 2026

Development phase concludes.

• Early September 2026

Final results announced and team scholarships awarded .

Mentor Role

Mentors will:

• Participate in occasional technical discussions with student teams

• Provide guidance on engineering design and problem solving

• Join periodic online meetings to review progress and offer advice

• Share professional insights from industry experience

Mentors may choose how actively they wish to participate, depending on availability.
