Position Overview
The Video Editor Intern will work closely with top Management and the Creative, Marketing, and Product teams to create engaging visual content that strengthens our brand. This role is ideal for someone who is creative, technically skilled, and excited to turn complex tech ideas into simple, impactful videos. You will gain hands-on experience across the entire video production process concept development, editing, motion graphics, sound design, and publishing, while working on live projects that directly support our products and campaigns. This internship also offers valuable exposure to senior leadership and cross functional teams, giving you a unique opportunity to learn, grow, and contribute to real work inside a fast-growing tech startup.
Key Responsibilities
- Video Editing & Production
• Edit and assemble raw footage into polished, high-quality videos optimized for digital platforms such as websites, social media channels, product demos, marketing campaigns, advertisements, and internal presentations.
• Ensure seamless transitions, proper pacing, color grading, audio balancing, and overall visual consistency to deliver a professional and engaging final product.
• Translate complex technological concepts and product features into visually compelling, easy-to-understand videos that resonate with diverse audiences.
• Integrate creative elements including titles, captions, branding, and basic visual effects to enhance storytelling and audience engagement.
• Uphold high standards of quality, creativity, and innovation across all video projects while adhering to brand guidelines and project timelines.
- Motion Graphics & Visual Enhancements
• Develop motion graphics, text overlays, and simple animations to elevate video clarity and engagement.
• Add visual effects, titles, and branding elements that align with the company’s identity.
• Use design principles to enhance storytelling and make videos more appealing and impactful.
- Platform Optimization
• Adapt videos for multiple formats and aspect ratios optimized for platforms like YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and the company website.
• Ensure compatibility with platform-specific requirements, including resolution, length, and layout.
- Pre-Production Support
• Assist in storyboarding, script writing, and overall content planning for upcoming campaigns.
• Collaborate with the Creative Director, Designers, Product team, and Marketing team to understand goals and translate them into strong visual narratives.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and present creative ideas aligned with brand guidelines.
- File Management & Workflow Organization
• Maintain organized project files, including version control, media asset libraries, and backup systems.
• Follow structured workflows to ensure projects move smoothly from concept to delivery.
- Presentation & Design Support
• Create visually appealing PowerPoint (PPT) presentations for internal and external use.
• Design clean, audience-friendly slides that effectively communicate key ideas and support the video content strategy.
- Tools & Technical Knowledge
• Demonstrate proficiency in industry-standard video editing and design tools such as:
o Adobe Premiere Pro
o Final Cut Pro
o Adobe After Effects o Adobe Photoshop / Illustrator (for graphics)
o Canva or similar tools for quick content creation
• Stay updated with the latest editing techniques, design trends, and video technologies.
- Creative Content Development
• Produce highly engaging and visually attractive videos suitable for social media posting and brand awareness.
• Understand audience behavior and tailor content to maximize reach, retention, and engagement.
• Contribute fresh ideas for video formats, storytelling styles, and creative concepts.
- Trend Awareness & Continuous Learning
• Keep up with the latest trends in video editing, animation styles, tech-product storytelling, and digital marketing.
• Apply best practices from the tech and startup ecosystem to improve content quality.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Educational Background
o Pursuing or recently completed a B.Tech or Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Film Studies, Media Production, Communication, Animation, Visual Arts, or any relevant video editing/creative discipline.
o Specialized certification in video editing or motion graphics is preferred.
- Video Editing & Technical Proficiency
o Strong skills in professional editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and basic knowledge of After Effects, Photoshop, or Illustrator.
o Solid understanding of visual storytelling, pacing, transitions, color grading, sound editing, and working with various formats, resolutions, and aspect
