Job Description Program Analyst 2 - Transit Program Analyst We are seeking a highly motivated to support the intercity transit network through policy analysis, implementation and grant solicitation processes. In this role, you will be a critical part in developing strategies to maintain and improve the statewide intercity public transportation network while ensuring alignment with state and federal funding for priority intercity corridors. You will also provide general transit policy support for state and federally supported programs. !

Minimum Qualifications Any combination of experience or education equivalent to five years of experience that typically supports the knowledge and skill requirements listed for the classification related to p ublic transportation management .

OR A bachelor's degree in business or public administration, behavioral or social sciences, or a degree related to the agency program that demonstrates the capacity for the knowledge and skills; AND two years experience coordinating or administering a program related to public transportation management .

Knowledge of the principles and practices of federal and state public transportation program management.

Proven ability to work effectively with internal and external partners or cross-functional teams to achieve collective goals.
Strong written and verbal communication skills shown through concise, audience-appropriate materials and partnership examples.

This position is open for recruitment and fully funded following the 2025 Special Legislative Session.

Work with transportation providers and transit staff to identify where first and last mile connections are needed and support getting these services in place.

Develop and monitor performance measures for planning, progress reporting, project and system monitoring.

Monitor grant funding and reports to evaluate progress on improving statewide connectivity.

Suggest improvements to grant program criteria to address important gaps in the network.

Work with community and agency partners to enhance planned transportation services.

Provide general policy support for state and federally funded transit programs.

Coordinate the Public Transportation Advisory Committee and its regular meetings.

Lead planning meetings with diverse teams to find effective improvements for the program.

Work is performed in a typical office with hybrid work options available. One day a month in office required but may be more depending on business needs.
