Role Objective:

We are seeking a skilled and forward-thinking Test Automation Engineer to establish and scale our QA pipeline. This role is pivotal in ensuring the quality of our products and offers a significant opportunity to grow into a Test Architect position. The ideal candidate will possess a "Guardian mindset" and a passion for implementing rigorous testing methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain automated test scripts to ensure product quality and identify defects prior to release.
• Define clear and measurable success criteria and expected results for test scenarios.
• Integrate automated tests into our Continuous Integration (CI) systems (e.g., TeamCity, Bitbucket).
• Maintain comprehensive test documentation, report bugs effectively, and collaborate closely with the development team.
• Play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and reliable deployment of software releases.
• Contribute to a culture where "knowing and understanding precisely on what and why is happening is the default state".

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Proven experience in test automation engineering.
• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with regular expressions.
• Strong experience with version control systems (e.g., git) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Bitbucket, TeamCity).
• A thorough understanding of software testing principles and methodologies; ability to design effective test cases.
• Familiarity with ISTQB standards; CTFL or CT-TAE certification is an advantage.
• Strong analytical skills with an aptitude for identifying edge cases and potential system vulnerabilities.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.
• A commitment to continuous learning and improvement ("Learn new stuff constantly").

Desirable Qualifications:

• Experience in testing automotive software or embedded systems.
• A proactive interest in developing and owning a comprehensive testing strategy.
• Appreciation for meticulous logging and maintaining robust, reliable test environments.
