Monumental is automating on-site construction with robotics and software. Our mission is to make construction primarily software-defined and work towards a future where beautiful, bespoke buildings are built within a single day with minimal labour.

We’re a growing team (about 100 team members) of mostly engineers and technicians, coming from companies like Palantir, Qualcomm, Dyson, Shopify, Tesla, Meta and 1X. It’s still the early days of building the company, and this is a unique opportunity to be an early employee in a high-growth, high-ambition startup environment. Monumental is based near Artis zoo in the Plantage, in the city center of Amsterdam. We have a beautiful office with an in-house workshop and robot testing facility. We’re explicitly not a hybrid or remote-first company: we enjoy collaborating 5 days a week at the office. About You And This Role The engineers we want to hire don't usually apply to job posts. They're probably not browsing LinkedIn, and when a recruiter reaches out with a generic template InMail, they ignore it.

We've grown from 15 to 100+ people in under two years. Our R&D team covers software, mechanical, electrical, controls, perception, and forward deployments engineers - and we need someone who can source for them full time.

You'll own inbound applications in R&D, while finding creative ways to reach candidates, then manage them through the process end to end. You'll work closely with our hiring team to understand what we're building and why, so you can effectively grow our team.

We want someone who biases towards deep, technical sourcing over volume. You will operate with significant autonomy and ownership, and deliver against our hiring plan with speed and precision. You iterate rapidly on your sourcing ideas, you're data driven, and most importantly - you know what great engineers look and sound like, and how to engage them.

Important: due to other hiring priorities, Interviews for this role will only start in the weeks of March 23 & 30 What You'll Be Responsible For

• Owning sourcing and inbound pipeline for technical roles across software and hardware
• Finding new ways to engage talent in unlikely places - personal websites, GitHub, citations, Discord servers, Substack, YouTube - whatever works
• Partnering with hiring managers to deeply understand each role and what good looks like
• Delivering memorable candidate experience from top of funnel to final interview stage
• Analysing sourcing metrics and iterating on what's working to accelerate hiring across R&D

What We're Looking For

• You've sourced for tough-to-fill engineering roles before - software, hardware, or both - and you can already think of engineers in your network who'd be interested in Monumental

Nice to have

• Experience hiring in deep tech, robotics or hardtech
• Dutch language skills are useful but not hard required
• Experience with Ashby ATS
