Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior IT Project & Programme Manager to lead and oversee complex technology initiatives across the organization. This role combines project and programme management, change management, and governance to ensure successful delivery of business and technology solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the software development lifecycle, software security, business process optimization and delivery change.
Key Responsibilities
Business Process Definition
Map, analyze, and optimize business processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Document current and future state processes, identifying opportunities for automation or improvement.
Work with cross-functional teams to implement new or revised processes.
Oversight and Governance
Establish and enforce project, programme, and development governance frameworks.
Ensure compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
Provide regular updates to senior leadership and governance committees.
Change Management
Develop and implement change management strategies to support adoption of new processes, systems, or technologies.
Engage stakeholders at all levels to ensure smooth transitions and minimize resistance.
Provide training, communications, and support during change initiatives.
Project and Programme Management
Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of multiple projects and programmes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Develop detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.
Manage risks, issues, and dependencies, escalating as required to stakeholders and governance boards.
Track and report on project/programme progress, defining KPIs and other relevant metrics and ensuring delivery within scope, time, and budget.
Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
Ensure all projects follow established SDLC methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid).
Drive continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and standards.
Oversee release planning, testing, deployment, and post-implementation reviews.
Software Security
Integrate security best practices into all stages of the software development lifecycle.
Collaborate with security teams to conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
Ensure compliance with relevant security standards and policies.
Required Experience & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
7+ years’ experience in IT project/programme management, with exposure to business analysis and change management.
Proven experience delivering software development projects.
Solid understanding of SDLC methodologies and software security principles.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Desirable Skills
Certifications in project management (PMP, PRINCE2), business analysis (CBAP), or change management (PROSCI).
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and managing development teams.
Familiarity with cloud technologies, DevOps, and automation tools.
Experience with process improvement and governance frameworks (e.g., ITIL, COBIT, PRINCE2, PMP).
