Octotronic is a fast growing Industrial Tech startup building a data platform that enables manufacturing companies worldwide to optimize production with data and AI. We are an engineering driven product team working with customers like BMW, Autoneum and Nestlé. Our office is located in the Technopark Zurich, one of Switzerland’s leading hubs for deep tech innovation.

You will have direct influence on architecture and product decisions, a high degree of autonomy, short decision cycles, and a culture where clean software matters. We are not looking for a classical product manager. We are looking for someone who thinks in products and understands code well enough to actively shape technical decisions and implementations. If you think ahead instead of waiting for tickets and enjoy complex technical systems, you will fit in well.

Your role

• You own the OctoCore product from problem discovery to implementation. You work closely with the CTOs, engineering teams and customers and you validate assumptions yourself instead of passing them on.
• What this means in practice
• You translate real industrial customer problems into concrete product decisions
• You define product features, priorities and roadmaps based on value and technical reality
• You work with engineers on eye level and challenge solutions constructively
• You are able to build prototypes, validate logic or understand existing implementations yourself
• You make conscious trade offs between speed, quality and long term architecture

What you must bring

• Experience in product management or as an engineer with clear product ownership
• Strong understanding of modern software architectures
• Typical work includes frontend features in React, backend services in Go or Python , integration logic, API work, and small tooling that accelerates the team.
• You can read, assess and when needed write code

What we explicitly do not want

• A PM who only writes tickets and documents
• An engineer who avoids customer problems and product trade offs
• Someone who cannot show real shipped work
