Technical Product Manager (m|f|d)
HASYTEC (now Ultrasonic Tech GmbH, part of the ERMA TECH Group) develops and distributes ultrasonic technology that prevents biofouling on liquid-carrying surfaces. Our systems are installed on over 300 vessels and offshore platforms worldwide.
We’re looking for a Technical Product Manager to drive the development of our innovative ultrasonic systems, coordinate projects across the embedded systems environment, and ensure the successful execution of initiatives throughout the entire product lifecycle. You will work closely with management, development teams, and other functions to translate strategic objectives into technically robust solutions and support the growth of our maritime business.
· Technical coordination and prioritization of development content in the embedded systems environment (hardware/software/system)
· Structuring and maintenance of requirements, dependencies, and maturity levels
· Translation of strategic objectives into technically consistent work items
· Coordination of pre-development, concept phases, and implementation of new and further developments across the entire product lifecycle
· Execution of structured risk and impact analyses
· Preparation of decision bases for management
· Ensuring transparency regarding progress, risks, and conflicting objectives
· Establishment and maintenance of central overviews (e.g. risk, decision, and dependency overviews)
· Moderation of technical alignment between development, management, and adjacent functions
· Regular, structured reporting to management
· Accompaniment of development activities throughout the entire product lifecycle
What you bring:
· Solid technical system understanding of embedded systems (hardware, firmware, and software)
· Proven project management experience is a prerequisite, preferably in embedded systems or complex technical environments
· Experience in structured requirements management, including the definition of functional and non-functional requirements, as well as the establishment of acceptance criteria and maturity levels
· Ability to conduct structured risk and impact analyses and prepare robust management decision documents
· Strong understanding of common development processes and product lifecycles within the embedded systems environment
· Confident use of project, reporting, and organizational tools (e.g. Excel-based roadmaps, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Confluence)
· Structured, consistent, and audit-ready preparation of information
· Strong communication and facilitation skills
· Assertiveness without disciplinary authority
· High resilience and strong performance capability, especially in complex or uncertain situations
· Excellent command of the English language
· Completed degree in a technical or technical-business discipline, or a comparable qualification with relevant professional experience
