Technical Manager - 3D Vision & Robotics

To expand our business in the DACH market, we are seeking a Technical Manager based in Munich, to join our growing regional team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the technical support strategy, owning solution architecture design and high-impact customer engagements in the automation and machine vision domain
• Translate complex customer requirements into technically feasible, cost-efficient, and scalable solutions
• Serve as the primary technical interface for key accounts and strategic opportunities, influencing customer decisions through technical credibility
• Mentor and scale a local technical team, including overseeing onboarding, capability development and defining performance objectives
• Collaborate closely with sales, product, and R&D teams, providing structured field feedback to enhance product-market fit and technical capabilities
• Deliver and oversee technical workshops, POCs, system demos, and presentations tailored to diverse customer segments
• Standardize and optimize technical delivery processes to ensure consistency, quality, and efficiency across solution proposals and implementations
• Demonstrate a strong can-do attitude and ownership mentality, proactively driving solutions, removing obstacles, and ensuring successful customer outcomes even in ambiguous or challenging situations
Qualifications:
• Education background in Engineering, Robotics, Automation, Mechanical Engineering or related technical field
• Strong industrial background in Robotics, industrial automation, or machine vision with extensive hands-on experiences in robotics, automation, and machine vision projects
• Proven ability to lead complex, high-difficulty projects for key accounts in Automotive (OEM, Tier 1/2 suppliers), Logistics (incl. packaging solutions), Metal processing / Manufacturing, Food & Beverage etc.
• Strong solution architecture, project management, process optimization and technical problem-solving capabilities
• Direct experience working on industrial shop floors, coordinating with mechanical, electrical, and PLC teams
• Excellent customer-facing skills with the ability to influence technical decisions at all levels
• Demonstrated team leadership and people management experience, including mentoring and performance management
• Commercial awareness and the ability to balance technical feasibility with business impact
• A proactive, hands-on mindset with a strong can-do attitude, resilience, and willingness to dive deep into both technical and operational challenges
• Fluent in German and English; the other European language is desirable
