About Us
At THEKER, we’re taking on one of the greatest challenges of the 21st century: redefining how physical work gets done in the world.
We are a robotics and AI company building intelligent, adaptable systems that solve problems traditional automation never could. From Barcelona, our mission is to create a generation-defining company leading the robotics revolution.
By joining us, you will have the chance to do the most meaningful work of your life, setting a new standard for industrial automation and driving breakthroughs with global reach, while being surrounded by a focused, talent-dense team that shares this ambition and is here to win.
Your role
We are looking for a Technical Innovation Manager to help transform THEKER’s engineering knowledge into robust, structured and scalable technical assets, supporting our intellectual and industrial property strategy.
You will work at a system level to understand, organize and formalize how our robotic platforms are designed, built and operated. Your work will focus on capturing and structuring technical knowledge around new systems and innovations, including their components, requirements, constraints and correct usage.
This role is key to enabling long-term protection and scalability of our technology by ensuring that innovations are properly documented, traceable and reusable, and that all relevant technical information is available for IP protection, regulatory considerations and customer deployments.
This is not a legal or administrative role. It is a deeply technical engineering position for someone who enjoys understanding complex physical systems and turning that understanding into clear, rigorous and structured documentation.
What we’re looking for
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Biomedical or similar).
Strong understanding of physical systems (mechanical, electronic or electromechanical).
Experience or exposure to technical documentation, validation, quality, compliance, or technical office roles.
Comfortable working with ambiguity and structuring information.
Fluent technical English.
Based in Barcelona or willing to relocate (100% on-site).
Nice to have (not required)
Previous exposure to intellectual property, patents or freedom-to-operate analysis.
Experience in regulated or standards-driven industries (industrial automation, robotics, automotive, aerospace, medical devices, etc.).
Experience interacting with customers from a technical or operational perspective.
Outstanding academic background.
You’ll thrive at THEKER if
You’re excited by a fast-paced and ambitious environment. The opportunity ahead of us is enormous, and we’re going all in to capture it.
You want responsibility early on, delivering at world-class standards for leading clients.
You enjoy experimenting, iterating quickly, and embracing change as part of the learning process.
You’re open to feedback, collaborative, and enjoy making decisions as a team
Main Responsibilities
Structure and formalize THEKER’s core technologies into clear technical assets (documentation, system descriptions, technical frameworks).
Prepare and coordinate patent-related technical material, working closely with engineering teams and external patent agents.
Assess regulatory, certification and usage implications when introducing new technologies or system architectures.
Define correct usage and deployment frameworks for robotic systems in real industrial customer environments.
Support public funding and innovation grants (e.g. European or national programs) from a technical and system-definition perspective.
Work cross-functionally with R&D, engineering and operations to align technical decisions, documentation and long-term structure.
What We Offer
Being part of a fast-growing robotics and AI company with huge ambition, where your career can accelerate alongside us.
The chance to make a real impact from day one, building robotics solutions with global reach.
A focused, talent-dense team of passionate innovators who live and breathe robotics.
An environment where new ideas are encouraged, and your contributions shape both the product and the company.
100% on-site work in Barcelona.
What the process looks like
