Accelerated Materials (AM) is an innovative, seed-stage start-up commercializing a technology platform that bridges the gap between nanomaterial discovery and industrial-scale manufacturing. By combining advanced reaction processes with artificial intelligence and automation, we streamline the pathway of scale-up, reducing the time and cost by up to 90%. With this platform, we provide end-to-end solutions for the advanced materials industry, offering new capabilities and intellectual property in record time.
We are looking for a highly motivated Technical Business Development Manager to spearhead our commercial expansion. You will drive the adoption of our platform across a range of applications, from semiconductors to pharmaceuticals.
Key Responsibilities
• Prospect and close deals within high-value verticals
• Structure Joint Development Agreements (JDAs) and licensing models which handle R&D, equipment sales and manufacturing agreements.
• Translate complex customer requirements into clear targets and value propositions for our scientific and engineering team.
• Manage key accounts, moving customers from sampling to production scale-up, working with across our commercial and technical teams.
• Work with our corporate strategy team to conduct value chain analysis and market size estimation.
Skills Required
• Technical expertise in nanomaterials, for example, being able to comfortably discuss the customer requirements and relate them to our performance improvements in particle morphology control.
• Advanced networking abilities within APAC and globally, with established contacts within the specialty chemicals ecosystem.
• The ability to structure complex deals involving IP transfer, technology licensing, and co-development.
• A highly collaborative and flexible mindset, with experience of working with start-ups as well as large companies.
• Excellent presentation abilities, able to quickly craft presentations and give them to senior management on a regular basis.
• Expertise in managing sales CRMs like Monday, Hubspot, Salesforce
• Experience in working internationally, across North America, Europe and Asia Pacific regions
• Ability to travel up to 25-40% within APAC/Global
Qualifications
• 5+ years in Business Development or Technical Sales within Semiconductor Materials, Electronic Chemicals, or Specialty Chemicals.
• A degree in Material Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Physics.
• Familiarity with supply chains in specialty chemicals and advanced materials
• A proven history of lead generation and closing deals involving new technology introduction or pilot-line adoption.
• The ability to communicate fluently in professional English.
