Role: Supplier Quality Engineer

Location: Albany, NY | Onsite

Summary:

Seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to lead part qualification, ensure supplier manufacturing readiness, and drive APQP/PPAP processes. This role validates supplier capabilities, improves performance, and ensures high-quality components that meet design and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead APQP/PPAP activities and part qualification.
Review supplier process flows, PFMEA, control plans, and risk assessments.
Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and operations on new part qualifications.
Provide technical feedback to suppliers and close readiness gaps.
Track supplier KPIs, PPM, delivery, and quality metrics.
Conduct supplier reviews and drive corrective actions.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
4–8 years in supplier or manufacturing quality (medical device, aerospace, automotive preferred).
Knowledge of PPAP, FMEA, SPC, 8D, Six Sigma, MSA.
Strong manufacturing and engineering fundamentals.
Excellent analytical and communication skills.
Proficiency with MS Office, ERP, QMS, and Windchill.
