Role: Supplier Quality Engineer

Location: Albany, NY | Onsite

Summary:

Seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to lead part qualification, ensure supplier manufacturing readiness, and drive APQP/PPAP processes. This role validates supplier capabilities, improves performance, and ensures high-quality components that meet design and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead APQP/PPAP activities and part qualification.
• Review supplier process flows, PFMEA, control plans, and risk assessments.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and operations on new part qualifications.
• Provide technical feedback to suppliers and close readiness gaps.
• Track supplier KPIs, PPM, delivery, and quality metrics.
• Conduct supplier reviews and drive corrective actions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 4–8 years in supplier or manufacturing quality (medical device, aerospace, automotive preferred).
• Knowledge of PPAP, FMEA, SPC, 8D, Six Sigma, MSA.
• Strong manufacturing and engineering fundamentals.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office, ERP, QMS, and Windchill.
