Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Subsea Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex subsea engineering equipment projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the entire project lifecycle, from initial concept and bidding through to manufacturing, testing, installation, and commissioning. You will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety, while serving as the primary point of contact for clients, suppliers, and internal engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring all project milestones and financial targets are met.
- Lead cross-functional project teams, including engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Manage project risks, issues, and changes, implementing effective mitigation strategies and communicating status updates to all stakeholders.
- Serve as the main interface with the client, managing expectations, providing regular progress reports, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure all project activities comply with industry standards, company procedures, and health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Ocean Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within the subsea, offshore, or oil and gas industry, specifically with engineering equipment.
- Strong understanding of subsea production systems, ROV tooling, or related subsea hardware.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6).
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- PMP, PRINCE2, or other relevant project management certification.
- Experience with EPC/EPCI (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation) contracts.
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or equivalent professional registration.
