Hiring: Structural Design Engineer – Airframe (Contract Role)

We’re hiring experienced
Structural Design Engineers
to join the Airframe Structural Design Engineering team supporting large cabin aircraft programs. This role contributes to both
new product development
and
modifications of existing aircraft
, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality structural designs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop structural designs ensuring
form, fit, and function
of aircraft components
- Support
manufacturing, certification, and aircraft build activities
- Perform design work using
CATIA V5 and PLM tools
Required Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of
structural design criteria, loads, fatigue, and corrosion
- Expertise in
design for manufacturing & assembly (DFMA)
- Experience with
3D MBD and GD&T
- 10+ years OR 20,000 hours
of experience in
CATIA V5 (or equivalent CAD)
- Proven experience managing
large-scale engineering projects
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in
aircraft structural modifications (green aircraft)
- Ability to read blueprints and create
2D drawings
- Hands-on experience with
CATIA V5 workbenches (Sheet Metal, CPD, FT&A, KBE tools)
- Familiarity with
SmarTeam PLM
- Prior experience with a
ircraft programs
