Crosby A.I., backed by top investors like Sequoia Capital and Bain Capital Ventures, is a well funded, successful startup building both an agentic AI tool to assist with contract automation, as well as the law firm that uses those tools. Instead of selling our proprietary technology to other firms we are competing with them by providing fast, efficient contract negotiation to high growth companies with lean legal teams. After our recent Series A fundraise of $20 million we're seeking a driven, business minded leader to be an early hire on our small legal team. Ideal experience is a mix of ECVC or IP Transactional BigLaw + in-house experience within a startup.

Be ready to roll up your sleeves and help us grow. Responsibilities include: using our A.I. tools to run commercial and IP agreements, work with our engineering team to help refine those tools, review the work of other attorneys, and be the face of our legal function with client onboarding.

You'll join a great culture while maintaining quality work, with no billable hours. This role is in-office in midtown NYC Monday-Friday (relocation assistance available) .

Qualifications

• Must have at least 3 years of experience in BigLaw within an IP/tech trans or Emerging Companies practice. Ideal candidates also have in-house experience.

• Hard skills and soft skills. The ability to communicate legal concepts to non-lawyers (such as our engineers) and to mentor more junior attorneys. Enthusiastic about building the team, interviewing and assessing new candidates. No job is too small.

• Business-minded, "Deal Attorneys" who can be client facing. You've got to love these agreements and getting the subtleties right.

• Can be admitted to the bar in any state (relocation assistance available).

Benefits include health insurance, 401k, free lunch and dinner. Good faith estimate of the comp range is $200,000 - $225,000 per year, plus equity.
