After our recent Series A fundraise of $20 million we're seeking a driven, business minded leader to be an early hire on our small legal team. Ideal experience is a mix of ECVC or IP Transactional BigLaw + in-house experience within a startup.
Be ready to roll up your sleeves and help us grow. Responsibilities include: using our A.I. tools to run commercial and IP agreements, work with our engineering team to help refine those tools, review the work of other attorneys, and be the face of our legal function with client onboarding.

Qualifications
Must have at least 3 years of experience in BigLaw within an IP/tech trans or Emerging Companies practice. Ideal candidates also have in-house experience.
Hard skills and soft skills. The ability to communicate legal concepts to non-lawyers (such as our engineers) and to mentor more junior attorneys. Enthusiastic about building the team, interviewing and assessing new candidates. No job is too small.
Business-minded, "Deal Attorneys" who can be client facing. You've got to love these agreements and getting the subtleties right.
Can be admitted to the bar in any state (relocation assistance available). Must be in-office in NYC Monday-Friday.
Benefits include health insurance, 401k, free lunch and dinner. Good faith estimate of the comp range is $200,000 - $225,000 per year, plus equity.
