About the Role

Lead / Senior Frontend Engineer

We’re looking for a Lead Frontend Engineer to take ownership of our frontend platform and lead our Frontend team onsite in Mountain View. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives at the intersection of technical depth, product thinking, and team leadership.

You’ll be responsible not just for building beautiful, high-performance user interfaces—but for setting the technical direction, raising the bar on quality, and mentoring a growing frontend team.

This is a hybrid role, with an expectation to collaborate in person at our Mountain View office three days per week.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and own the frontend architecture for a complex, AI-driven product.
• Drive the design and implementation of scalable, high-performance frontend systems using modern web technologies.
• Mentor and lead frontend engineers, providing technical guidance, code reviews, and career growth support.
• Partner closely with Product, Design, and Backend teams to deliver intuitive, polished user experiences.
• Establish and evolve frontend best practices around performance, accessibility, and maintainability.
• Translate complex workflows and AI concepts into clear, intuitive interfaces.
• Proactively identify UX and technical gaps—and drive solutions end-to-end.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of frontend development experience, ideally in product-focused or high-growth environments.
• Strong, hands-on experience with React (required). Experience with Next.js is a plus.
• Deep expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, modern frontend patterns, and state management.
• Excellent command of HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and modern UI frameworks.
• Strong understanding of performance optimization, cross-browser compatibility, and accessibility.

Bonus Points

• Experience designing or scaling frontend platforms from early stages.
• UI/UX sensibilities and the ability to partner closely with design.
• Prior experience in AI, automation, developer tools, or complex enterprise products.
