Job Title: Staff Accountant

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Staff Accountant with 5 or more years of accounting experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of cost accounting, payroll processing, and general ledger management. This is an on-site position that requires proficiency in QuickBooks and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including monthly journal entries and adjustments
- Manage and process biweekly or monthly payroll, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and company policies
- Prepare and analyze cost accounting reports, including inventory valuation, job costing, and margin analysis
- Support the month-end and year-end closing processes
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and payroll processing
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
