About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Staff Accountant with 5 or more years of accounting experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of cost accounting, payroll processing, and general ledger management. This is an on-site position that requires proficiency in QuickBooks and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including monthly journal entries and adjustments
• Manage and process biweekly or monthly payroll, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and company policies
• Prepare and analyze cost accounting reports, including inventory valuation, job costing, and margin analysis
• Support the month-end and year-end closing processes
• Prepare financial statements and assist with internal and external audits
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other balance sheet accounts
• Assist in developing budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses to support management decisions
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation for compliance and reporting purposes
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls
• Collaborate with other departments to improve accounting processes and efficiency

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and payroll processing
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
