Hourly Pay Range (Minimum - Midpoint - Maximum) $53.570 - $69.120 - $77.410

The stated pay scale reflects the range that Sharp reasonably expects to pay for this position. The actual pay rate and pay grade for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant's years of experience, unique skills and abilities, education, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, other requirements for the position, and employer business practices.

What You Will Do The Sr. Systems Analyst role within IT is responsible for systems analysis, consulting with users and stakeholders to determine software and system functional specifications. This role focuses on application support, enhancement, design, build, and implementing more complex changes and resolving more complex issues. Possess expertise in application functional use and design, development, documentation, analysis, modification and testing. Brings competency to application and administration duties required to support Sharp's environment in a highly available manner. Promotes the effective and efficient use of computing resources and facilitates client workflows. Will manage IT project initiatives, provide planning activities, and act as a mentor to peers. Exercises discretion with independent thought and judgment. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Required Qualifications

5 Years relevant experience.
Leadership experience.

Preferred Qualifications

5 Years healthcare or related subject matter experience.
3 Years system analyst role.
Project Management experience.
Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification - Various-No accreditation board -PREFERRED

Other Qualification Requirements

Professional Certifications (2 preferred): Certifications that portray advanced level of proficiency relevant to the job responsibilities. Certification directly related to the application being supported (if applicable) - Preferred

Essential Functions

Uses Effective Interviewing Skills To Elicit Client Requirements. Responds to requests in a manner and timeframe consistent with the department guidelines, including ticket transfer procedures, if transferring is appropriate.

Uses application specific tools to monitor system health as needed.

Will receive remedial issues from other analysts when senior level skills are required for problem resolution.

Project Management Project management methodology competency statement: Demonstrates consistent and effective application of Project Management techniques. Analyzes department and client needs to develop a workable training plan. Determines an accurate scope, definition, and charter for the project. Ensures execution of training plan. Determines and plans for appropriate project task support and task communication. Manages small to medium projects and insures completion within target dates as agreed to with affected parties. Leads and/or contributes to risk identification and mitigation efforts. Develops, contributes and maintains project plans. Communicates project scope, deliverables, plans, issues and post project reports. Negotiates to obtain consensus and approval on required changes. Follows approved project management standards. Monitors and reports progress of implementation.

Develops System Documentation For On-call And Other Operational Requirements. Proactively maintains system architecture as needed.

Completes peer review process per change management guidelines.

Creates Test Strategy documents to describe the testing approach for large and complex projects.

Develops User Acceptance Testing plans and works with team members to ensure the plans are followed.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Must have strong leadership skills and experience.
Knowledge of clinical and business operations in a healthcare environment.
Knowledge of hospital and clinic culture, regulatory requirements (e.g., JCAHO), and health care requirements as it relates to information security and privacy (e.g., HIPAA).
Proficiency in the applications supported by the department, Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, and Project Web App.
Must be able to calmly and professionally respond to frequent deadlines for reports and related tasks, and to prepare work and presentations on short notice.
Use telephone frequently; must be able to hear and speak clearly by telephone.

Analyzes and implements effective client workflow. Demonstrates sound knowledge of business, strategic, and IT strategies, translates business requirements into system solutions that meet project requirements. Performs problem analysis using sound judgment, initiative, and discretion. Analyzes user needs/requirements through: on-site visits; review of department policies/procedures; and review of system capabilities; ensuring attainment of optimal functionality; and user satisfaction. Identifies root cause and determines viable solutions. Identifies and communicates options and proposed solutions. Develops a comprehensive analysis of pros/cons and implications of proposed solutions. Demonstrates strategic and forward thinking by conducting thorough analyses of proposed solution's impact to other applications. Seeks out required data for problem analysis and resolution.

System Configuration and Testing System configuration, change management, and testing competency statement: Demonstrates advanced skill set for the Application Support, Enhancement, Design, Build and Implementation for complex changes. Ensures the appropriate use of test environments. Develops and executes plans for application functional use and design, development, documentation, analysis, modification and testing. Consistently maintains software changes across the production and test environments according to IS policy. Keeps all environments synchronized. Develops test scripts that include standard functionality, client workflow, tables/dictionaries, screen design, system options and rules. Does not cause production delays due to negligence or failure to follow established procedures. Mentors staff regarding change management procedures. Follows scheduled and unscheduled Downtime Processes, disaster recovery procedures. Demonstrates knowledge of and adherence to Sharp Security policies.
