The Film and Scatterometry Technology (FaST) Division provides industry leading metrology solutions for worldwide semiconductor IC manufacturers. The FaST Division portfolio of metrology products includes hardware and software solutions for optical film thickness, optical critical dimension (CD), composition, and resistivity measurement systems. These products are essential for the IC manufacturers as they provide critical metrology capabilities for the development and implementation of their advanced IC processes. The FaST division is committed to support our customers to achieve performance entitlement of our solution and we effectively partner with our customers from their early research and development phase to the high volume in-line manufacturing implementation specific for their process needs. The division consists of a global team located in US, Israel, China, and India. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Algorithm Software Engineer to join our innovative team developing next-generation metrology solutions for semiconductor manufacturing. The successful individual will work in a dynamic environment, contributing to the development of cutting-edge metrology technologies that enable unprecedented capabilities for process control and monitoring. * Design, prototype, test, and implement advanced metrology algorithms * Collaborate closely with algorithm developers, software engineers, applications engineers, and scientists to deliver high-performance solutions * Optimize algorithms for speed and efficiency using instruction pipelining, SIMD, and multi-core parallelism * Contribute to modular, object-oriented software design and development * Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including defect tracking, source control, and release management * Strong proficiency in C++ * Experience with CUDA is preferred * Familiarity with or willingness to learn C#, MATLAB, and/or Python * Proven experience in developing and optimizing speed-efficient algorithms * Solid understanding of instruction-level optimization and parallel computing techniques * Knowledge of best practices in modular software architecture and object-oriented programming * Experience with software lifecycle tools and processes * Background in metrology or the semiconductor industry is a plus * Electromagnetics understanding is a plus * Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset for working in diverse, cross-functional teams Ph.D. with 3+ years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience OR Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience Base Pay Range: $154,900.00 - $263,300.00 Annually Primary Location: USA-CA-Milpitas-KLA KLA’s total rewards package for employees may also include participation in performance incentive programs and eligibility for additional benefits including but not limited to: medical, dental, vision, life, and other voluntary benefits, 401(K) including company matching, employee stock purchase program (ESPP), student debt assistance, tuition reimbursement program, development and career growth opportunities and programs, financial planning benefits, wellness benefits including an employee assistance program (EAP), paid time off and paid company holidays, and family care and bonding leave.
