About the role

As a Software Engineer, you will collaborate with the rest of the team to translate our vision and customer requirements into robust technical solutions. Your daily tasks include designing, implementing, maintaining new software solutions. You’ll be working closely with other team members and sometimes with customers to develop new features for the platform.

From a technology standpoint you’ll be working with Node.js, TypeScript, React, AWS, Docker, PostgreSQL, and different LLMs.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain automation features for the Askel.ai platform.
• Translate customer and product needs into reliable technical solutions.
• Contribute to system architecture with a focus on scalability, security, and maintainability.
• Maintain code quality through reviews, testing, and operational ownership of live systems.

About you

• 3+ years of software engineering experience
• Primarily backend-focused; frontend experience is a plus.
• Proven ability to design, maintain, and debug complex systems.
• Proficiency to understand non-technical requirements and convert them into technical solutions.
• Pragmatic mindset with a focus on progress and sensible trade-offs.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
• Interest in AI-driven products and modern automation.
