About the Role:
We are a fast-paced startup focused on innovative voice technology solutions for the automotive industry. This role is centered on backend Python and React engineering, system design, and deploying scalable systems. You will be building solutions that improve how people interact with dealerships for car purchasing and servicing, with opportunities to apply cutting-edge AI tools to address practical challenges.
What you will do:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using Python/Flask.
- Improve our tooling in our React/Next.js dashboard and optimize workflows for dealers and operations.
- Lead system design and architecture discussions, ensuring technical scalability and maintainability.
- Apply best practices in software development, including testing, CI/CD pipelines, and code quality.
- Stay current with technology advancements relevant to our domain, including AI/ML, and evaluate their potential application.
What We're Looking For:
- 3+ years of professional experience in backend Python development.
- 3+ years of professional experience in frontend React development.
- Proven expertise in system design and scalable architecture.
- Experience with API integrations.
- Experience deploying applications in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure) using Docker.
- Proficiency in working with data and databases.
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles, including testing, code reviews, and CI/CD workflows.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
What Makes You Stand Out (Nice to Haves)
- Experience working with real-time async Python applications.
- Experience with building internal tools and complex requirements from our operations team.
- Experience adding agentic workflow automations.
- Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks or concepts.
- Exposure to large language model (LLM) APIs or Retrieval-Augmented Generation
