About Sesame Sesame believes in a future where computers are lifelike - with the ability to see, hear, and collaborate with us in ways that feel natural and human. With this vision, we're designing a new kind of computer, focused on making voice companions part of our daily lives. Our team brings together founders from Oculus and Ubiquity6, alongside proven leaders from Meta, Google, and Apple, with deep expertise spanning hardware and software. Join us in shaping a future where computers truly come alive.
About The Role As a Software Engineer building internal tools at Sesame, you will be building and maintaining the pipelines and tooling that ingest audio and text data and produce and evaluate trained AIs for text and voice conversation. You’ll collaborate with ML engineers and researchers, software engineers, and other cross-functional teams, all as customers of your work.
The ideal candidate for this role is a strong software engineer who also brings a strong sense of UI/UX for bespoke internal tools. You’ll build and maintain React-based web tools that let the teams manipulate large datasets in the cloud and the cloud-deployed Python-based infrastructure that brings our products to life. Sesame is a fast-moving startup, so you should feel comfortable diving into any of these areas, learning new tools and services, and bringing with you a strong intuition for robust software engineering and deployment practices.
