Position Overview
We are looking for a QA Engineer (Mid-level) to join our Diligent engineering organization. You will help deliver secure, reliable, and user-friendly solutions that support our customers in managing critical information and making better governance decisions. You will work in a modern microservice-based environment, primarily using NodeJS (backend) and React (frontend), collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure quality across our applications.
As a QA Engineer you will work in an Agile team with responsibility for designing and executing both automated and manual tests, contributing to the QA strategy for complex features, and identifying/reporting defects. You'll collaborate closely with all members of the team to help ensure a high-quality product.

Collaborate with the team to break down larger projects into testable user stories and tasks
Contribute to the test strategy and test plans for complex functionalities
Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities within the sprint
Help refine and follow quality guidelines and engineering practices within the team
Perform manual acceptance testing for user stories within sprints
Collaborate with Agile team members as solutions are developed, applying a quality mindset throughout the entire development lifecycle
Perform all aspects of test verification, including test environment management, functional, regression, and integration testing
Contribute to the evaluation and use of AI-driven testing solutions (e.g., intelligent test generation, defect prediction, adaptive test strategies) using LLMs and other AI models
Stay informed about AI trends, tools, and regulations relevant to software testing and bring ideas back to the team
Develop and maintain test automation and integrate it with the build and delivery pipeline
3–5 years of experience in software testing, including at least 2+ years in test automation
Solid experience in a hands-on development-in-test role at a commercial software company
Experience automating end-to-end (E2E) test cases with TypeScript and preferably Playwright (the project is migrating from Nightwatch.js to Playwright)
Experience automating API-level tests in a microservice architecture
Foundational understanding of how AI can be applied to software engineering and testing (e.g., LLM-assisted test creation, analysis, or tooling)
Practical knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Kubernetes, Docker)
Experience creating and executing manual test cases
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with developers, product managers and other stakeholders
Enjoys working in a diverse, agile environment and contributing to continuous improvement
Some experience supporting or pairing with more junior QA/Test Engineers
