We're looking for a
Measurement & Psychometrics Expert
with a broad range of methodological and quantitative skills to join our team. You'll be responsible for the end-to-end management of our survey operations, panel infrastructure, and data collection pipelines. This role is ideal for someone who combines rigorous survey methodology expertise with the ability to build scalable, automated systems in a fast-paced environment.
This is a high-impact, high-autonomy role — you'll be directly responsible for maintaining data quality, growing and optimizing our research panel, and ensuring our survey infrastructure supports excellent psychological measurement at scale.
What You’ll Do
Required Qualifications
Strongly Preferred
Familiarity with demographic methods: population estimation, standardization, cohort analysis, decomposition methods
Understanding of Total Survey Error (TSE) framework and AAPOR best practices
Experience with cloud-based data infrastructure (AWS or similar)
Background in social psychology or behavioral science
Experience building automated data pipelines and reproducible workflows

You're fluent in both the theory and practice of psychological measurement
Deep understanding of social cognition, personality, cultural psychology
Expertise in experimentation and operationalizing psychological constructs

Measurement Operations & Data Pipeline Management
Build and maintain end-to-end data collection pipelines from measurement deployment through data processing and storage
Manage all psychological data collection activities across the platform, including ongoing research programs and ad-hoc studies
Oversee study programming, deployment, and quality monitoring across panel providers and platforms
Support migration and optimization of measurement infrastructure and data systems
Respondent Management & Growth
Manage, maintain, and strategically grow our research participants across demographic segments, psychographic profiles, and specialized participant groups
Design and implement participant recruitment strategies and quality control protocols
Monitor overall panel health metrics including retention rates, participation frequency, response quality, and psychological representativeness
Conduct ongoing assessments of panel composition and implement strategies to address attrition and maintain diversity
Implement panel refreshment and augmentation strategies as needed
Manage relationships with survey platform vendors and panel providers
Psychometric Methodology & Quality Assurance
Apply sampling best practices including stratified sampling, quota management, and targeted recruitment of specific populations
Implement weighting and statistical adjustment procedures to ensure sample representativeness
Conduct comprehensive data quality checks including detection of fraudulent responses, inattentive responding, and data anomalies
Help maintain libraries of validated psychological measures and support psychometric evaluation of new measures
Process Documentation & Efficiency
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for survey operations, panel management, and data processing workflows
Identify opportunities for automation and implement solutions to streamline operations in collaboration with cross-functional teams
Establish best practices and standard operating procedures
PhD in a quantitative social science field, like Social Psychology, Cultural Psychology, Psychometrics, Demography, Political Science or related field
