An Engineer 2 typically plans and directs research or development work on complex projects, along with engaging various parties in design and development. Costs and recommendations of new components may also involve part of the job scope. Performs multiple engineering-related tasks in various assignments within the project and firm.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, develop, and implement ServiceNow solutions based on business requirements.
• Customize ServiceNow applications, including workflows, UI policies, business rules, client scripts, and ACLs.
• Develop and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and other enterprise systems using REST/SOAP APIs.
• Implement ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, SecOps, and CMDB.
• Perform system upgrades, patches, and releases in coordination with ServiceNow best practices.
• Work closely with Product Owners, Business Analyst, and stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and demo completed configurations.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system design and configuration guides.
• Troubleshoot issues, debug scripts, and provide ongoing support to ensure platform stability.
• Follow Agile development methodologies and participate in sprints, standups, and retrospectives.
• Stay up-to-date with ServiceNow features, releases, and best practices.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or 5 years equivalent work experience).
• Experience:
• 3+ years of hands-on experience as a ServiceNow Developer.
• Strong expertise in ServiceNow scripting (JavaScript, Glide API, Jelly, AngularJS).
• Experience with ServiceNow integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, MID Server, and OAuth.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow Flow Designer, Workflow Editor, and Business Rules.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes and how they align with ServiceNow ITSM.

Preferred/Desired ServiceNow certifications (e.g., Certified System Administrator, Certified Application Developer, ITSM Implementation Specialist).

Salary Range$108,000—$131,000 USD
