Our agency client is looking for a full-time SEO Account Manager to join the team. You will serve as the primary relationship owner for a portfolio of digital marketing clients, ensuring exceptional account management, strategic guidance, and long-term retention. This role focuses on driving client value through strong communication, performance insights, and growth-focused account strategies.

This role is fully remote but you must live in one of the states listed to be considered: AL, CO, FL, IL, IA, NC, NJ, NV, NY, MD, SC, TX, VA

SEO Account Manager Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a portfolio of 20-40 clients as the primary point of contact
• Develop and execute customized account strategies aligned with client goals
• Identify and close upsell opportunities and secure contract renewals
• Communicate campaign performance, ROI, and strategic insights clearly to clients
• Collaborate with Client Success Managers to execute deliverables and reporting
• Monitor performance metrics and proactively address client challenges
• Represent the company at client events and industry conferences
• Create thoughtful, relationship-focused client experiences

SEO Account Manager Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of client-facing experience in a digital marketing agency
• Strong knowledge of SEO, local SEO, and Google Business Profile optimization
• Proven success managing client relationships and driving retention
• Experience analyzing performance data and presenting insights to clients
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency with tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console, Ahrefs, and HubSpot
• Experience with legal, medical, or dental clients is a plus
