The role This company runs a global tax automation platform, powering compliance for some of the largest digital businesses. Backed by leading VCs, they've raised significant capital and are reportedly crossing significant ARR. They solve a complex, real-time problem at scale, operating Kubernetes runtimes across multiple cloud providers.

You'll join a core SRE team building the self-service platform that product engineers consume. This isn't a traditional "ops" role focused on manual tasks. Instead, you'll automate relentlessly, manage infrastructure as code, and treat developer experience as a first-class outcome. Your mission: enable every team to fully own and operate their services in production, reliably and uneventfully.

The work

• Automate infrastructure as code for a self-service platform, ensuring a "git-first" approach.
• Evolve Kubernetes runtimes across multiple cloud providers, delivering real-time tax decisions at enterprise scale.
• Build internal tooling and strengthen observability (Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog) to empower product engineering teams.
• Define, improve, and enforce SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs for critical services, participating in on-call rotations.
• Automate Postgres and Elasticsearch platforms, enabling safe, self-service consumption for development teams.

What You Bring

• You manage infrastructure with code (Terraform or equivalent) and enforce a "it doesn't exist if it's not in git" standard.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes operations at production scale, ideally across more than one cloud provider.
• Daily programming skills in at least one language, used to automate operational work, not perform it manually.
• Proven track record defining and improving SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs in a real environment, with on-call experience.
• A bias for simplicity over cleverness, and data over opinions in infrastructure decisions.
