Fixzy is revolutionising property insurance by leveraging advanced AI technology to deliver predictive estimates, remote inspections, and cutting edge defect detection tools. Focused on precision and efficiency, Fixzy enhances claims processing while shaping the future of intelligent insurance solutions. We are dedicated to transforming how the industry approaches property assessments with innovation at its core.
Role Description
We’re hiring a Senior Spatial AI / ARKit Computer Vision Engineer at Fixzy.ai
At Fixzy we are building something the property insurance industry has never had before.
A platform that can look at a damaged property, understand what’s wrong, measure the repair, and generate an accurate scope of works automatically.
To achieve that, we’re pushing far beyond the default capabilities of mobile scanning frameworks.
We’re now looking for a highly specialised iOS ARKit / Computer Vision Engineer to lead the evolution of our 3D room scanning pipeline.
Your mission will be to help us build the most accurate mobile property scanning technology in the world.
What you’ll be working on
You’ll be architecting a next generation spatial capture pipeline combining Apple’s LiDAR frameworks with advanced geometry processing and computer vision.
Your work will directly improve:
• 3D room reconstruction accuracy, measurement precision for walls, ceilings and floors, surface detection and spatial understanding
Key responsibilities
Architect a hybrid scanning pipeline combining RoomPlan (RoomCaptureSession) with custom ARSession mesh reconstruction• Develop real time mesh refinement algorithms (Taubin smoothing, Laplacian filtering) in Swift and Metal• Build advanced depth and point-cloud processing pipelines using LiDAR confidence maps and smoothedSceneDepth• Develop geometry optimisation and export workflows using Model I/O, USDZ/OBJ pipelines and Open3D• Work directly with volumetric reconstruction techniques such as TSDF voxel grids and Marching Cubes• Profile and optimise memory usage and thermal performance during prolonged scanning sessions using tools such as Xcode Instruments• Collaborate closely with our AI and backend teams to ensure exported spatial data (USDZ/OBJ) is structured for automated damage detection and repair estimation
Required expertise
Strong iOS development experience building high-performance ARKit applications• Deep knowledge of ARMeshAnchor, ARMeshGeometry and spatial mapping pipelines• Strong foundation in 3D maths, geometry processing and mesh reconstruction• Experience working with point clouds, LiDAR data and spatial computing systems
Bonus experience
Metal compute shaders for GPU-accelerated geometry processing• SLAM, photogrammetry, or neural reconstruction techniques (NeRF / Gaussian splatting)• Integration of C++ 3D libraries with iOS applications• Examples of advanced spatial-computing work on GitHub
Why this role is different
Fixzy isn’t just another AR app.
We are building the AI infrastructure for property insurance claims.
Our technology enables:
Property scan, AI damage detection, automated repair scope and instant repair pricing
And we’re doing it with real data from live repair projects, not just theoretical models.
If you are passionate about spatial computing, computer vision, and solving real world problems, we would love to speak with you.
Let’s build the future of property claims together.
