Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Backend Systems Engineer with deep hands-on experience in backend and systems-level software development. This is not a junior role — we expect you to bring strong engineering judgment, a clear understanding of how architecture decisions affect product outcomes, and the ability to take ownership from design through delivery. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to shape system architecture, define technical requirements, and set the bar for engineering quality. Your ability to communicate clearly in English is essential, as you will collaborate regularly with international teammates and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

1. Design and develop robust, scalable backend services and API layers (RESTful and gRPC).

2. Define and own system architecture decisions, ensuring alignment between software design and product requirements.

3. Drive technical design reviews, code reviews, and architectural discussions with cross-functional teams, including PM, front-end, and infrastructure engineers.

4 Write and maintain unit tests and integration tests, and ensure code quality across the team.

5 Mentor junior engineers — set technical standards, provide guidance, and help grow the team's capability.

6 Contribute to product definition discussions, translating business requirements into concrete technical designs.

7 Identify performance bottlenecks and drive optimization efforts at the system level.

8 Work with DevOps and infrastructure to improve CI/CD pipelines and development workflows.

Required Qualifications

1. 5+ years of professional experience in backend or systems software development.

2. Strong proficiency in Golang; solid experience in C and/or C++ is required.

3. Demonstrated ability to design and implement production-grade system architectures.

4. Proven experience bridging technical architecture decisions with product-level requirements and constraints.
