You will join a startup-like team inside one of Europe’s fastest-growing cybersecurity scaleups, where engineers play a defining role in shaping the product. From day one, you will lead the architecture evolution and delivery of high-impact systems.

You’ll operate comfortably at system scale, while keeping a product mindset. You’ll be a key technical contributor for the team, mentoring others through example, driving technical direction, and raising the bar — all while staying hands-on and focused in shipping product improvements. You’ll also influence architecture and have impact across Hoxhunt engineering.

What You’ll Do

• Own end-to-end architecture and delivery of high-throughput, event-driven services and APIs.
• Design, plan, and ship resilient features that scale — security, performance, and reliability in mind.
• Co-lead technical design and reviews, define engineering standards, and raise the bar — while helping the team ship with quality and speed in mind.
• Improve how we work: evolve processes, collaboration, tooling, observability, and automation.
• Partner with product to turn customer problems into simple, world-class solutions.
• Design a platform to transform noisy, messy, constantly changing security signals into actionable insights.

Who We’re Looking For

A product-minded senior engineer who operates comfortably at system scale, mentors others, and thrives in a growing scale-up. You balance shipping fast with long-term thinking and enjoy turning complex problems into clear, maintainable designs. You care deeply about what is best for the customers, the product, the team, and the company — and you know how to prioritize accordingly.

Skills You Need To Succeed In This Role

• 8+ years building and operating backend services at scale, especially distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
• Extensive full-stack experience, with particular expertise in distributed messaging and streaming systems such as Kafka or Pub/Sub, and relational databases.
• Strong API and data modeling skills.
• Hands-on expertise with cloud infrastructure, containers, and IaC.
• Proven track record mentoring engineers and raising the technical bar across a team.
• Familiarity with our tech stack: TypeScript, React, NodeJS, GraphQL.
