What You’ll Do

• Build backend services in Python for data ingestion, orchestration, and processing
• Develop distributed, event-driven systems using Kafka, MSK, or similar streaming technologies
• Deploy, operate, and optimize services across AWS and Azure cloud environments
• Implement RESTful APIs and internal service communication channels
• Ensure services are reliable, observable, and highly scalable
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code with strong engineering standards
• Collaborate with engineers working on LLM-powered and automated processing systems
• Contribute to light full-stack or UI components as the product grows
• Participate in architectural discussions, code reviews, and Agile ceremonies

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional backend engineering experience (Python preferred)
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and asynchronous processing
• Experience building event-driven architectures with Kafka, MSK, or equivalent platforms
• Hands-on experience with both AWS and Azure cloud services
• Proficiency in building and maintaining APIs
• Strong Git and CI/CD pipeline experience
• Database experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, or similar technologies, including database migrations
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum workflows

Preferred Qualifications

• Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform strongly preferred)
• Experience with containerization (Docker, ECR, Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with LLM systems, agent workflows, or AI-powered processing
• Experience with frontend frameworks (React, TypeScript, or similar) for future features
• Understanding of DevOps practices, logging, and monitoring stacks
