As part of the Software Services Team, you will play a crucial role in designing, building, and scaling our cloud services, including robust APIs, efficient data processing pipelines, reliable messaging systems, and scalable data storage. These critical systems enable seamless and reliable connectivity between fleets of autonomous vehicles, operators, and user applications, facilitating the management and execution of autonomous operations in agriculture. - Lead the design and development of scalable APIs to support new features and functionality for end-user applications and autonomous vehicles - Write clean, well-structured, and maintainable code that adheres to industry best practices and high-quality standards - Architect and implement comprehensive testing strategies to ensure correct functionality, performance, and reliability of developed features - Collaborate extensively with cross-functional engineering teams, product managers, and UX designers to develop and evolve systems that meet growing and changing business needs - Drive the development process by writing and presenting RFCs for new product features and system enhancements - Take full ownership of projects, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality, impactful work - Mentor junior engineers on best practices for software development, system design, and testing, fostering a culture of technical excellence - Solid experience as a backend developer, showcasing a deep understanding of distributed system design, data structures, and algorithms - 6+ years of experience building highly scalable and resilient web services - Expertise with Node.js, Go and hands-on experience with serverless services (Lambda, Fargate, SNS, API Gateway, etc.), relational databases (PostgreSQL), NoSQL databases (DynamoDB, Redis), containerization technologies (Docker, EKS, OrbStack, etc.), infrastructure as code (Cloud Formation, Terraform, Pulumi), and distributed storage (S3, CloudFront). Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location, internal equity, and additional factors, including, but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or specialty training.
