Job Summary:

Amazon is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer (SDE) to lead a dedicated Gen-AI incubator and training program. The role involves driving innovation in generative AI technologies, mentoring team members, and establishing best practices within the Rangers program.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the technical lead and AI subject matter expert for the Rangers team

• Design and implement proof-of-concept pilots leveraging generative AI technologies

• Develop reference architectures and technical guidelines for AI feature integration

• Create and maintain a Gen-AI Runbook Library, establishing technical best practices

• Build AI-enabled knowledge management frameworks and tools

• Mentor team members and conduct technical workshops on Gen-AI applications

• Collaborate with teams across Amazon to share learnings and stay current with AI developments

Qualifications:

Required:

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience

• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

• Experience with Generative AI Development & Frameworks (Agentic AI, MCP, LangChain, etc). Knowledge of responsible AI implementation and best practices.

Preferred:

• 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
