Sunrise Robotics provides manufacturers with autonomous robotic cells that automate repetitive tasks and let human operators focus on higher-value work. The company builds plug-and-play robotic cells featuring built-in perception, two industrial-strength arms, human-like coordination, AI-driven control, and safety systems compliant with industrial standards. Their approach uses simulation-based training and on-device AI to train and retrain robot behavior quickly, enabling rapid redeployment across tasks. The product is offered as B2B robotics hardware and software for manufacturing environments and installs using only a three-phase outlet for fast deployment. Sunrise targets manufacturers seeking flexible, scalable automation that reduces setup time and adapts to changing production needs.

Our Mission: At Sunrise Robotics, we are dedicated to augmenting humanity through intelligent robotics. Our mission is to elevate the world of manufacturing by introducing intelligent, flexible robots that enhance human capabilities and existing machinery, ushering in the next era of production at higher quality, with less waste, and lower cost.
Our Vision: We see a future where every element of manufacturing, from design to assembly, is optimised with intelligent automation. Our vision is to integrate flexible robotic solutions, based on generic hardware and advanced software/AI capabilities, into manufacturing, particularly in small and medium-sized enterprises, to make automation economically viable and accessible, for all sizes of manufacturers. We are not just building robots; we are creating the strategically crucial components for autonomous, intelligent agents of the future.
As a Senior Robotics Control Engineer you have a key role in the architecture and design of the robot motion control and planning system. You will be directing and executing the implementation of advanced motion control and planning algorithms and the overall architecture that would make the system scalable and able to support the future needs of our clients.
Your work will have a direct impact on robots deployed in the field developing one of the key components of Sunrise’s robotic systems. You will contribute directly to our production systems leaving a true mark on real world applications of our technology.
What you will do:
Perform research and development in the following areas:
Design and direct the implementation of the robot control and trajectory planning system.
Develop robot control and trajectory planning algorithms, selecting the right approach to support advanced robot control in the short and longer term.
Sim2Real: Reduce the simulation-to-reality gap developing motion planning and control solutions that can be run in simulation and on the real robot.
Provide your input on the hardware that needs to be installed to provide optimal results.
Contribute to develop, with the robotics team, a production robotics system deployed in the field at the customer sites, working across the full stack.
Work with the engineering teams to collaboratively transform research insights and latest developments into practical, deployable solutions.
