The Role: As a Senior Robotics Control Engineer you have a key role in the architecture and design of the robot motion control and planning system. You will be directing and executing the implementation of advanced motion control and planning algorithms and the overall architecture that would make the system scalable and able to support the future needs of our clients.

Your work will have a direct impact on robots deployed in the field developing one of the key components of Sunrise’s robotic systems. You will contribute directly to our production systems leaving a true mark on real world applications of our technology.

What you will do:

• Perform research and development in the following areas:

• Design and direct the implementation of the robot control and trajectory planning system.

Who you are:

• Extensive and demonstrable experience in developing trajectory planning for robotic manipulators
• Demonstrable experience is architecting complex object oriented software systems which run on the physical hardware

Bonus points:

• Experience in developing low level robot control algorithms (eg compliant control)
• PhD in Robotics, Robot control, trajectory planning or a similar topic
• Extensive experience working in ROS2
• Knowledgeable of Moveit / ROSControl frameworks
• Knowledgeable of docker
