About The Team And Role You will be a part of Pinecone Labs and report to Pinecone’s Chief Scientist. Pinecone Labs is a small team dedicated to creating new AI products and advancing the state of the art on search, information retrieval and AI.

Responsibilities

• Develop cutting edge products and capabilities with key customers
• Improve and invent new AI, IR, and search techniques and capabilities
• Educate your team, our customers, and the community.

On a Day-to-day Basis, You Will

• Consume state-of-the-art literature and learn about SOTA AI, IR, and search.
• Collect data, train models, run evaluations, and present findings.
• Implement POCs of new features and capabilities into the products.
• Publish and present technical reports, blog posts, and academic papers.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field.
• A track record of impactful research demonstrated through publications in top-tier machine learning, theory, algorithms, search, and data science conferences (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, CVPR, SIGIR) and related journals.
• Experience in being an effective team member in product centric engineering groups.

Compensation Range: $215K - $255K
