About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Python Developer to join our fully remote and globally distributed engineering team. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable, and security-focused software systems , working extensively with distributed architectures, networking concepts, and secure infrastructure components .

You will collaborate closely with backend, frontend, DevOps, and security teams to deliver mission-critical intelligence capabilities at scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize high-traffic backend services using Python frameworks such as Flask and FastAPI
• Build and operate containerized microservices using Docker Swarm and Kubernetes
• Develop scalable, secure RESTful APIs and distributed microservices
• Integrate and manage Elasticsearch and Redis for high-volume data processing and search
• Implement distributed messaging and task processing using RabbitMQ and Celery
• Collaborate with remote frontend teams to integrate server-side logic with user-facing components
• Manage and troubleshoot Unix/Linux-based systems in production environments
• Apply networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, load balancing, reverse proxies, firewall concepts) to system design
• Implement and maintain application and infrastructure security best practices
• Work closely with DevOps teams to manage CI/CD pipelines in remote environments
• Conduct code reviews, testing, and security checks to ensure code quality and resilience
• Provide remote mentorship and technical leadership to junior and mid-level engineers
• Maintain clear and up-to-date technical and operational documentation
• Contribute to IaaS environments , virtualization, and network segmentation initiatives

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
• Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong alignment with remote-first work culture and distributed team collaboration
• Proven software development background with strong system design fundamentals
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on Kubernetes experience
• Minimum 5 years of Docker Swarm experience
• Advanced proficiency in Python , Flask , and FastAPI
• Strong experience with Unix/Linux systems administration
• Hands-on experience with RabbitMQ and Celery
• Extensive experience with Elasticsearch and Redis
• Practical knowledge of networking and security fundamentals (VPN, NAT, firewalls, TLS, proxy architectures)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and hybrid infrastructures
• Strong background in microservice and distributed system architectures
• Solid security awareness , including OWASP Top 10 , API security, rate limiting, and authentication/authorization
• Familiarity with frontend technologies such as JavaScript, React, or Angular
• Experience with Git , SonarQube , and Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)
• Experience building SaaS and multi-tenant platforms
• Ability to work independently in remote environments while collaborating effectively across teams
• High attention to detail with a strong focus on reliability, performance, and security
