As a Senior Production Architect, you will own the transition of advanced optical systems from design into scalable, high-volume manufacturing, ensuring products are built with precision, tested with uncompromising accuracy, and delivered at best-in-class yields.
This is a senior technical leadership role at the intersection of R&D, NPI, and High-Volume Manufacturing. You will set manufacturing architecture, influence product design early, and establish the processes, metrics, and partnerships required to scale complex optical systems reliably.
Key Responsibilities
Manufacturing Architecture & Process Ownership
Define and own end-to-end manufacturing architectures for complex optical assemblies, from incoming materials through final test and shipment.
Establish and maintain production standards, SOPs, and control plans that ensure repeatability, scalability, and quality at volume.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma methodologies to drive yield, cost, cycle time, and process stability improvements.
DFM / DFT & New Product Introduction
Serve as a core manufacturing voice during architecture definition and NPI, ensuring designs are manufacturable, testable, and scalable from day one.
Partner with R&D to influence optical, mechanical, and test design decisions based on production realities.
Capture and institutionalize lessons learned from pilot, ramp, and HVM phases into future product generations.
External Manufacturing & ASIC Interfaces
Act as the technical point of contact for ASIC foundries and OSAT partners.
Align ASIC DFT strategies and production test vectors to ensure comprehensive fault coverage and efficient test flows.
Support supplier qualification, ramp readiness, and ongoing yield and reliability improvements.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 10+ years in high-tech manufacturing; experience in optics, semiconductors.
Manufacturing Depth: Strong knowledge of cleanroom manufacturing, ESD controls, and precision mechanical assembly.
Leadership: Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive decisions across R&D, NPI, suppliers, and HVM.
Nice to Have
Experience with active optical alignment systems and automation.
Familiarity with interferometry, wavefront sensing, or advanced optical metrology.
Background in reliability engineering, accelerated life testing, or qualification planning.
