About the Role

Position: Senior Platform Engineer - DevEx

Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated and driven platform engineer with experience in enabling a DevOps culture within tech teams. Your primary responsibility will be to provide a world-class developer experience to other engineers.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement high-quality infrastructure as code templates/modules, empowering software engineers to use them for their projects.
• Implement AWS multi-account core infrastructure, ensuring security best practices are used across the cloud estate.
• Author CI/CD templates and optimizations to enable engineers to release as early and often as possible.
• Design and implement a developer portal (e.g., Backstage) to provide a service catalog to the engineering team and author useful DevOps plugins.
• Contribute to observability best practices and provide key SLI/SLO metric reporting to balance velocity and reliability.
• Develop inner/open source projects to enhance the developer experience for the engineering team.

Qualifications

This role will be a great fit if you have:

• Good working knowledge of AWS services including ECS, EC2, Lambda, VPC, IAM, Route53, CloudFront, S3, RDS.
• Good understanding of monitoring and logging solutions (e.g., Prometheus, AWS Cloudwatch, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Honeycomb, ELK).
• Basic SRE knowledge and experience in alerting and incident management platforms (e.g., Opsgenie, Pagerduty).
• Proven ability to provide and support strong and scalable CI/CD pipelines.
