WE ARE LOOKING FOR Senior Omniverse / USD Simulation Architect Unikie is looking for a Senior Omniverse / USD Simulation Architect to lead the technical design and implementation of a cutting-edge digital twin simulation environment for a major industrial client. This is a hands-on architecture role at the intersection of real-time 3D, robotics simulation, and industrial automation — with direct impact on how physical machines are tested and developed in a virtual world.

You will be the primary NVIDIA-stack specialist on the project, owning the USD architecture, physics and motion systems, and the integration interfaces that connect external software and data flows to the simulation environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement a well-structured, layered OpenUSD scene architecture suitable for industrial-scale simulation and future extensibility.
• Build realistic motion and physics systems including articulations, constraints, and mechanical behavior driven by real control signals.
• Define and implement performance-critical simulation components within the NVIDIA Omniverse / Isaac Sim ecosystem.
• Ensure clean integration with external systems — data feeds, control interfaces, sensor pipelines, and automation logic.
• Develop and extend Omniverse Kit applications using Python to customize and automate simulation workflows.
• Guide architecture decisions and provide knowledge transfer so the client team understands and can maintain the environment long-term.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience with NVIDIA Omniverse (Kit SDK, USD pipelines, or Isaac Sim).
• Deep understanding of OpenUSD scene organisation: composition, layering, referencing, variants, and scalable scene graph design.
• Demonstrated experience building real-time 3D or robotics simulations, including articulations, constraints, and mechanical motion systems.
• Strong Python skills for developing and extending Omniverse Kit applications.
• 5+ years of experience in simulation, robotics, real-time 3D, or related software engineering domains.
• Understanding of performance considerations for GPU-accelerated simulation and rendering pipelines.
• Experience designing systems that interact with external data flows or real-time control interfaces.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with synthetic sensor simulation (camera, LiDAR, GNSS, depth).
• Experience coordinating simulation with external applications or real-time feedback loops.
• Background in heavy machinery, automation, or robotics simulation environments. Experience creating optimised USD-based environments for industrial-scale use cases.
