As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be leading one or more systems/elements within the AMR product portfolio such as sub-components, chassis, drive units, sensor integration, attachment designs and simulations and analysis.
What you’ll do day-to-day:
- Contribute to construct product/project requirements before and during the design process
- Design electromechanical structures considering power, torque, speed, dynamic stability, traction and strength considerations and life expectancies
- Cross communication with hardware and software teams to provide the optimum performance finding the State of Art applications for sensor technologies
- Meet and/or exceed customer/market expectations with regards to program Quality, Function, and Cost
- Self-starter with ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks w/ minimal direction.
- Follow trends & innovative technologies in the industry and realizing benchmark activities.
What you’ll bring to our team:
- 5+ years of experience in the development and design of products.
- A deep hunger to learn and grow, with a willingness to experiment in order to learn new things and the ability to awaken that curiosity in others.
- The ability to think holistically, recognize patterns, and make imaginative leaps based on those patterns.
- A proactive approach, following all steps of the product design/life cycle for continuous improvement in the product and design process.
- No travel restrictions to domestic and international locations, with the ability to work with global customers/partners and to travel.
