Team:
You will join the Detection team, composed of data scientists and machine learning engineers, responsible for maintaining low fraud rates and client satisfaction through continuous training and deployment of machine learning models. The team collaborates closely with the Data Engineering team to design the data architecture and infrastructure for ML systems.

About the Role

Job Title: Senior Machine Learning Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, architecture, and orchestration of scalable and reliable end-to-end ML pipelines.
• Propose and champion new machine learning methods and tools to influence the technical roadmap.
• Drive cross-functional initiatives with Data Engineering and other teams to align on data architecture.
• Evolve MLOps infrastructure, focusing on model versioning, automated deployments, and monitoring.
• Mentor and guide team members, promoting technical excellence and continuous improvement.
• Lead technical deep-dives to troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and availability issues.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal tools and engineering best practices.

Requirements:

• Demonstrable experience in designing, building, and deploying complex machine learning systems.
• Deep understanding of the full machine learning lifecycle and experience with scalable training pipelines.
• Proven experience leading complex, cross-functional projects and influencing technical direction.
• Familiarity with modern workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Prefect, Kubeflow).
• Strong software engineering fundamentals, including data structures, design patterns, and version control.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to navigate ambiguity.
• Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills.

Nice to Haves:

• Proficiency in systems programming languages (e.g., Go, C++, Java, Rust).
• Experience with deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow).
• Familiarity with large-scale data processing engines (e.g., Spark).
• Experience with data pipeline tools (e.g., dbt).
