Overview
Lead a pod of 5-7 engineers and data scientists to design and deploy scalable ML pipelines integrated with Data Lakes/Warehouses. Your leadership will drive mission-critical AI projects, ensuring compliance and ethical AI use for federal clients in bioscience and defense.
Key Responsibilities
Architect ML solutions processing 1TB+ datasets, integrated with enterprise Data Lakes.
Mentor a team of 5-7 engineers, improving model accuracy by through best practices.
Ensure MLOps pipelines achieve 99.9% uptime and comply with federal standards (e.g., NIST AI RMF).
Implement AI ethics protocols, mitigating bias in 100% of deployed models.
Collaborate on data privacy and security for sensitive bioscience datasets.
Required Qualifications
U.S. Citizen with active DoD, IC, or DHS clearance, or eligibility to obtain/maintain one.
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or related field, or 8+ years of equivalent experience.
5+ years of ML engineering with production deployments (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
Advanced Python proficiency and experience with ML frameworks.
Expertise in Data Lake/Warehouse architectures (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks).
Strong ETL and data modeling skills for large-scale datasets.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience deploying ML models in federal environments (e.g., DoD, DHS).
Proven leadership of cross-functional AI teams (5+ members).
Knowledge of AI ethics frameworks (e.g., NIST AI Risk Management Framework).
AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty or TensorFlow Developer Certificate.
