- Position Summary
- We are seeking an agile and operationally strong Senior HR Executive to oversee daily human resources functions for our Malaysia operations. Based in Kuala Lumpur, this role acts as the primary on-the-ground HR contact for the local team. Reporting directly to the Head of Human Resources, the Senior HR Executive will drive regional consistency in employee experience while ensuring compliant and seamless daily operations for Alpha X.
- Key Responsibilities
HR Operations & Statutory Compliance
- Manage end-to-end HR operations for Malaysia: employee lifecycle administration, database management (HRIS), and HR records.
- Manage the end-to-end monthly payroll process, ensuring accuracy in salary payouts and statutory contributions (e.g., EPF/KWSP, SOCSO/PERKESO, EIS, PCB/LHDN).
- Act as the subject matter expert on the Malaysian Employment Act 1955, Industrial Relations Act, and local regulatory requirements ; manage all statutory reporting and government surveys.
- Manage expatriate mobility, including Employment Pass (ESD/MDEC) applications, renewals, and tax clearance for foreign talent.
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
- Drive the recruitment cycle for Malaysia: from role definition and sourcing to vendor management, interviewing, and selection for junior-to-mid-level roles.
- Design and execute a high-quality onboarding experience that aligns with regional standards, ensuring new hires are culturally integrated from Day 1.
- Maintain recruitment metrics and pipeline data to inform local hiring strategies.
Employee Relations, Engagement & L&D
- Act as the first point of contact for general employee inquiries in the KL office, fostering a positive employee experience.
- Assist in performance management cycles for the general workforce, ensuring timelines and documentation standards are met.
- Design and deliver market-relevant employee engagement initiatives, town halls, and wellness programs.
- Assess local Learning & Development (L&D) needs and facilitate training interventions in alignment with regional talent frameworks.
HR Analytics & Reporting
- Prepare monthly HR reports (headcount, attrition, leave utilization, hiring cost) to provide actionable insights to the Head of HR and management.
- Ensure data integrity within the HRIS to support regional decision-making.
- Perform any ad-hoc duties assigned by the Company as and when required.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- 3–5 years of HR experience, preferably with exposure to Office Management or Generalist roles.
- In-depth technical knowledge of Malaysian Employment Law, Industrial Relations, and statutory calculations (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB).
- Proficient with HRIS(e.g. info-tech) tools and Excel; comfortable extracting and interpreting people analytics.
- High degree of integrity, discretion, and ethical conduct.
- Excellent command of English and Bahasa Malaysia is mandatory; Chinese is an advantage.
