About Aracor
Aracor is on a mission to build a world-class product that will redefine dealmaking. Our AI-native platform helps in-house legal teams manage thousands of pages of documents with greater speed and precision, uncovering key insights and risks in seconds.
The Role
We're looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer to own testing and quality practices at Aracor, reporting to the Head of Engineering. You'll be responsible for our test strategy across frontend and backend, as well as the tooling and culture that help the team ship confidently.
Most of your time will be on the frontend—building Playwright suites, setting coverage standards, integrating quality gates into CI—but you'll also write backend tests, contribute features in TypeScript, Python, and FastAPI, working across the stack when needed. We don't have a separate QA team; everyone owns the quality of what they ship, and you'll be the person making that sustainable.
We're in the process of rebuilding the engineering team, which means there's real opportunity to establish testing standards before technical debt has a chance to accumulate. It also means things are still scrappy and evolving. If that sounds like the kind of environment where you do your best work, we'd like to hear from you.
Responsibilities
We're looking for someone with five-plus years of experience building web applications with React or Vue (Composition API) and TypeScript, along with a strong background in automated testing—unit, component, and E2E—using tools like Vitest/Jest, Testing Library, Playwright or Cypress, and pytest.
Beyond writing tests, you should have experience thinking about test strategy: how testing fits into CI/CD, how to balance coverage against maintenance cost, and how to keep suites reliable as the codebase grows. Familiarity with contract testing and OpenAPI is valuable since we develop spec-first.
You should also be comfortable in Python and FastAPI—able to write backend tests and features, and debug issues that cross the stack. We're not looking for a backend specialist, but we need someone who works comfortably across layers.
Early-stage experience matters, since we're moving fast and priorities shift. And because we're distributed and async-first, strong written communication is essential—you'll be documenting standards, writing clear bug reports, and keeping the team informed about quality status.
Nice to have: experience with performance testing (k6, Locust) or chaos engineering; familiarity with feature flag systems and rollout monitoring; exposure to AI/LLM evaluation frameworks like Ragas or DeepEval; experience helping other engineers improve their testing practices.
What We Offer
You'll own how quality is measured and maintained across the stack, with real autonomy to shape testing culture and tooling. There's room to grow into a quality lead or staff role as we scale, but in the near term you'll be part of a small, focused team—engineers, AI researchers, and legal experts—working on something ambitious. We're remote-first across GMT to GMT+8, and we value outcomes over hours. If you're curious about what quality engineering looks like when the product involves LLMs and document analysis, it's an interesting problem space.
