We are looking for an experienced Senior Full Stack Engineer to take a key role in building and scaling Custom Surgical’s core software platforms, including MicroREC Connect (web application) and MicroREC Desktop (Electron-based desktop application) .
This role requires strong hands-on engineering skills across frontend and system-level functionality. You will work not only on user interfaces, but also on API integration, networking, local data handling, and hardware-adjacent features. Reliability, performance, and scalability are critical, as these applications are used daily in real clinical environments.
You will contribute to technical decisions, help shape the software architecture, and support other developers as the team grows.

Experience with cloud-based architectures and deployments;
Knowledge of security, authentication, and data privacy best practices;

Design, develop, and maintain production-grade web and desktop applications ;

Strong experience as a Full Stack or Software Engineer on production applications;
Advanced knowledge of JavaScript / TypeScript ;
Professional experience with React for complex web applications;
Experience building desktop applications using Electron or similar frameworks;
Solid understanding of API design, consumption, and network communication ;
Experience handling local databases, file systems, and offline data ;
Familiarity with hardware-adjacent or system-level functionality;
Proven experience scaling and maintaining production systems ;
Ability to contribute to and guide technical decision-making ;
Experience supervising, mentoring, or reviewing work of other developers;
Fluency in English (spoken and written);
Based in Munich or willing to relocate (on-site work required).
