About Aracor Aracor is on a mission to build a world-class product that will redefine dealmaking. Our AI-native platform helps in-house legal teams manage thousands of pages of documents with greater speed and precision, uncovering key insights and risks in seconds.
The Role
We're looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer to own design systems at Aracor, reporting to the Head of Engineering. You'll be responsible for our component library, design tokens, and accessibility standards—the shared foundation that the rest of the team builds on.
Most of your work will be on the frontend, collaborating with designers, building and documenting components, maintaining Storybook, and making sure we meet WCAG 2.1 AA across everything we ship. That said, we're an early-stage company and don't draw hard lines between frontend and backend—when a feature needs API work or changes in Python/FastAPI, we'd expect you to pitch in. However, we do aim for a higher degree of specialization as we grow.
We're in the process of rebuilding the engineering team, which means there's a real opportunity to establish standards and influence how things get done. It also means things are still taking shape, and you'd need to be comfortable with some ambiguity. If that sounds like the kind of environment you enjoy, we'd like to hear from you.
Responsibilities
Qualifications We're looking for someone with four-plus years of experience building web applications with React or Vue (Composition API) and TypeScript, including hands-on experience building or maintaining a component library or design system. You should have practical accessibility experience—implementing WCAG in production, not just knowing the guidelines—and be comfortable collaborating closely with designers and working in Figma.
You should also be comfortable enough in Python and FastAPI to contribute backend features and debug across the stack when needed. We're not expecting backend expertise, but we need someone who doesn't stop at the API boundary.
Early-stage experience matters, since we need people who can navigate ambiguity and shifting priorities. And because we're distributed across time zones, strong written communication is essential—you'll be writing RFCs, PR descriptions, and async updates regularly.
Nice to have: experience with Storybook, Tailwind, Shadcn, or design token tooling; familiarity with trunk-based development and feature flags; exposure to AI-driven product surfaces.
What We Offer
You'll have genuine ownership of the design system and the autonomy to make decisions about how it evolves. There's room to grow into more senior roles as the team scales, but more immediately, you'll be part of a small, focused group—engineers, AI researchers, and legal experts—building something ambitious. We're remote-first across GMT to GMT+8, and we care more about outcomes than hours. If you're curious about working at the intersection of frontend craft and LLM-driven tooling, it's an interesting time to join.
