Senior FP&A Analyst | Insurance Capital & Strategic Finance
Remote – United States
Ledgebrook is building the next-generation Specialty insurance platform — combining modern technology with deep insurance expertise to remove the friction, inefficiency, and legacy drag that still define much of the market.
Backed by leading venture investors, we are a fully remote, high-talent-density team built around one philosophy: fewer, better people with meaningful ownership.
We’re looking for a Senior FP&A Analyst to partner directly with Finance leadership as Ledgebrook expands its risk-bearing operations.
This is not a traditional FP&A role.
We need someone who understands insurance capital, reserve dynamics, and statutory complexity — and can turn that into clear, actionable insight for executive leadership.
You’ll work across capital adequacy modeling, reserve analysis, BCAR stress testing, underwriting profitability, and enterprise planning, while partnering closely with the CFO, Actuarial, Accounting, and Underwriting teams.
The right person will likely come from:
• Specialty / E&S carrier
• Reinsurer
• Captive environment
• Rating agency
• ERM or actuarial finance function
Key areas of focus:
• BCAR and capital adequacy modeling
• Reserve and surplus stress testing
• Entity-level profitability analysis
• Capital planning and reforecasting
• Rating agency support
• Automation and AI-enabled FP&A workflows
What matters most:
• Strong insurance capital fluency
• Ability to operate independently
• Commercial judgment, not just technical skill
• Curiosity and analytical rigor
• Clear communication with senior stakeholders
• Bias for action in a fast-moving environment
Requirements:
• 5–7+ years of relevant insurance finance / capital experience
• Hands-on BCAR exposure
• Strong understanding of statutory reporting and reserving
• Advanced modeling capability
• Comfortable working in a remote, high-accountability culture
US applicants only. No visa sponsorship available.
If you’re interested in helping build a modern specialty insurance platform from the inside, we’d welcome a conversation.
